Educational and Professional Background:
Beth Johnson, MEd, LMHC is a licensed mental health counselor. She received her BA in Psychology from Western Washington University in 1990 and MEd degree from City University in 1994. She has worked at Skagit Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Clinic working with survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence, Catholic Community Services working with children and families, and Family Counseling Center working with adults, adolescents, and families.
Beth uses a variety of approaches to working with adults. These techniques include psycho-educational tools, cognitive behavioral strategies of reframing beliefs and thinking patterns, building positive self-image, recognizing options, learning about positive life choices, and building support systems.
