Educational and Professional Background:
Lori Michelson, MSW, received her Master’s degree in Social Work from Tulane University in 1992 and has been practicing ever since. She has had extensive experience working with all client groups covering a wide range of therapy issues. Her past experience ranges from working with children and teens through adults and seniors in individual, couple, and family settings. She currently limits her practice to working with adults – individuals and couples.
Lori works with clients who have general mental health issues. She draws from many therapy approaches and uses whichever will most effectively help each of her clients. These therapies include cognitive behavioral, insight-oriented, Gestalt, solution-focused, and dialectical behavior therapy.
